Vivek is an engineering graduate from SRM University, Chennai, a Masters in Elementary Education from Tata Institute of social sciences, Mumbai and a Gandhi Fellowship alumnus (2010-2012).
Post fellowship Vivek worked in various international civil society organizations exploring and creating impact assessment metrics on the impact of infrastructure on learning outcomes and building schools as development hub in tribal areas of Rajasthan, before replicating the school leadership model based on Gandhi Fellowship in Uganda, East Africa.
Coming back to India vivek co- founded a non -profit organization Kshamtalaya which works towards providing each and every child in marginalized communities space and opportunities beyond elementary school to live a dignified life. Vivek is deeply interested in theatre in education, and his work in education explores the role of social and emotional literacy in developing a whole child and support them in completing their school education by building inclusive environment in schools by working closely with students, school leaders and teachers.
At Kshamtalaya Vivek is responsible for organizational development, fundraising, partnership development, communications and also designing curriculum and is deeply involved in on-ground operations.
