The homes that we live in were probably constructed 30-40 years ago – when energy efficiency was not a key goal. Not all new homes are designed in an energy efficient manner. Our water and electricity distribution systems are also very old, some dating to the pre-independence era. Similar is the case with waste disposal. Is zero waste possible? How about in the cities?

Schools:

How can we be more efficient? How can we change habits and behavior? Can this be done without hurting poorer sections of the society? How do we build new homes – in cities and villages?

Colleges:

Can we build homes using green materials? In the cities? How can homes breathe (without AC’s and fans)? Where should our homes be located (near a farm, school or place of work)?
