Wipro Cares works with an NGO called Towards Future to provide learning opportunities and bridge schooling to the children of urban poor. The project supported by Wipro is called Back to Future.
The objective of this project is to prepare the child to go to regular schools. We also provide them a nutrition supplement in this center.

Details
This learning center, named 'Back to the Future' helps children of migrant labourers, brick kiln workers and other marginalized communities in the village of Kalikapura near Salt Lake in Kolkata. This center welcomes out of school children from 11 am to 3 pm.
Back to the Future identifies the learning levels of children and divides them accordingly. They then work with the individual groups to maximize their learning. The idea is to prepare the children for regular school as and when they return to their native village.
The school today has 50 children of different age groups. The nutritional supplement that is provided to the children is made locally. The center also engages in educating the parents about the importance of hygiene and nutrition and how they affect the growth of their children through adult literacy programs. The mid-day snack serves to demonstrate this factor.
